DESCRIPTION:Join us for a welcome reception and presentation/business pitch by the Young Entrepreneurs to a panel of local investors in order to obtain funding for their new business ventures. All welcome to attend! \n\n\n\nLocal middle school students in the Chamber's Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) will present their business plans before a panel of local business leaders at the Investor Panel Event at Harper College.\n\n\n\nEach student business will have five minutes to pitch their business plans to the panel of investors. The panel will then ask each student questions and based on the appeal and merit of the students' plans and presentations\, representatives from investor companies will determine the amount of funds to allocate to each business or social movement.\n\n\n\nThe participating investors will also select the one business group that will advance to the Young Entrepreneurs Academy Saunders Scholars National College Scholarship competition\, where they will compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships and the opportunity to present their business plan at the America's Small Business Summit in Washington\, DC.
