Meijer, the original ?one-stop-shopping? supercenter, will be providing shoppers with a chance to receive this Holiday season, as each Meijer location in the greater Chicago area will be accepting entries to a weeklong contest which culminates in awarding five lucky winners with $1,000 each in Meijer Gift Cards. The promotion, sponsored by Meijer and several stations owned by Nextmedia, will kick-off on Saturday, December 13th, with a two-hour remote broadcast featuring radio station WSSR/96.7. at the Meijer store in Bolingbrook, located at 755 E Boughton Rd. The contest concludes at the close of business on Sunday, December 21st. Guests can enter to win the $1,000 Meijer Gift Card prize packages in store any Meijer location throughout the greater Chicago area. Nextmedia radio station WSSR/96.7 will also be hosting a cookie decorating competition with the selected paper design being created as an edible delight Meijer guests to purchase during the week of December 15, 2008. To participate in these designing these culinary creations, young bakers must be between the ages of 4 and 12. The selection of the best holiday design will be determined by the management of Nextmedia radio stations. Meijer will even personalize the package of each cookie sold with the winner?s photo!
