On November 4-5 at the Schaumburg campus of Roosevelt University the Delta Institute and Mindful Metropolis magazine will host a two-day environmental Expo designed to educate business leaders, government agencies, non-profit organizations and consumers on commercial and personal opportunities in the Green Economy.
The two-day event known as the Green Economy Action Roadshow or GEAR will feature speakers, workshops, exhibits, and networking opportunities for organizations and consumers interested in promoting sustainable lifestyles, creating jobs, and growing the Green Economy:
- Friday November 4 will be a Business-to-Business Expo focusing on commercial opportunities in the Green Economy.
- Saturday November 5 will be a free public event providing consumers with an opportunity to learn about green building/remodeling, the use/reuse of sustainable materials, energy savings at home, environmental careers, and more.
The GEAR Expo is being presented in the Northwest suburbs in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Roosevelt University, and the Village of Schaumburg.
