Why should I attend as a member of my local Chamber of Commerce?
Attendees have the opportunity to network with leading members of the business community across northern Illinois and meet with the longest serving Republican Speaker of the House in American history, J. Dennis Hastert. As a tireless advocate for business during his two decades in Congress and his years as a legislator in the Illinois General Assembly, Hastert offers the singular perspective of one of our nation’s top policymakers on the impact of both state and national government on business and the economy.
With the uncertain state of our current economy, our elected leaders need to recognize the importance of creating an environment where Illinois business can grow and thrive. It is now more important than ever that members of the Illinois business community unite to ensure that our voice is heard in Springfield and in Washington, DC, so legislators will think twice before proposing new taxes, regulations, and mandates that stifle economic growth.
