In just two years, Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley’s ReStore is expanding its operations to meet its customer’s needs, moving to a larger space within the same building complex. ReStore will be temporarily closing its doors (April 9, 10 and11) to move to 800 N. State Street (RT 31), Elgin, IL. ReStore will re-open again on Saturday, April, 12 with a grand re-opening celebration.
ReStore Elgin is a 20,000 sq. ft. building materials reuse center benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley. ReStore accepts donated new and gently used goods from retailers, manufacturers, distributors, contractors and homeowners. Building supplies are then sold, at greatly reduced prices, to the general public. The store’s operation generates funds to support Habitat’s house building program in the northern Fox Valley area, while reducing the amount of material that would otherwise go to overflowing landfills.
At ReStore, we’re keeping stuff out of landfills, raising money to build homes, and making low-cost materials available to those who otherwise may not be able to afford them.
